Join us for our first ever parking lot sale
starting at 8 AM.
August 6, 2008 (First Wednesday of Each
Month)
I would like to reach out and extend an invitation to
women in the area who would like to get together and share our
stories of inspiration, hope, and motivation. The group is
called "Sisters With Stories". We are women
coming together 1 evening a month to share
positive messages with those who are already feeling good as
well as those who may just want to come and listen and be
surrounded by positive influences. We all know that today’s
world can be very trying between global, national and local
news. We want to remain positive. We do not want to dwell on the
negative. However, sometimes the people we are closest to, i.e.
family, husbands, coworkers, etc., are not in a place where they
feel or choose to be positive. We can not make those closest to
us choose to be positive but we can choose to surround ourselves
with other positive, uplifting, happy people to keep our own
spirits up and hopefully “Pass the Positive On”.
This is not a sales or marketing ploy and no one should be
looking to it as a networking event. We will however meet at
More Taste Than Money only because I have the space and
capability to set out “coffee and ...”. If you would like to
bring a libation of choice and or a treat to share, please let
me know. There will be no financial or time commitment
requirements to being a part of "Sisters With Stories", except
that only positive messages can be shared.
If you would like to join us on the first Wednesday of
each month for "Sisters With Stories", please RSVP
either by email or call me at 590-9888.
I look forward to sharing and smiling with you!

Mark your calendars for the 3rd annual
Pajama Party Sale on Saturday
4/26 from 7 AM - 11 AM. Come dressed in your pajamas and/or
bring in a new or gently used pair to save big...$10 off every
$50 you spend. Just roll out of bed. Don't get dressed. Don't
have breakfast. Do brush your teeth. We'll have OJ,
croissants, fruit, and coffee. We won't have time to do each
others nails and massages. So, instead, we will have a drawing
to give away a package of 5 Toning Treatments (a $45 value)
courtesy of Cape Coral Day & Toning Spa.
April is Pajama Party Month (in the rules made up by Gina,
since her birthday is in April). This event will also
correlate with our month long collection of Pajamas to be
donated to Abuse Counseling + Treatment, Inc (ACT)
If you can't make it to the Pajama Party sale, come in any day
April 1st through April 30th and donate a pair of new or
"gently" used woman's or children's pajamas. With your
donation you can take $10 off any purchase of $50 or more on
the day of your donation. Did you know that in 2007 ACT
provided services to over 5,000 individuals in our community?
Over 400 of them children! ACT is in the midst of an expansion
which will provide 20 more beds and THEY NEED
PAJAMAS!!! Ladies in all sizes from extra svelte to extra
voluptuous. Boys, Girls, Teens, and and all the in betweens.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing all of you on April
26th in your snazziest, comfiest, craziest pajamas, or at
least in your robe!

Vote
for David as he participates in the first Lee County "Biggest
Elite Loser" contest hosted by
MyPlanetMall.com and
Elite Physique.
Please
vote for him daily and help him win in the most popular
category as well as cheer him on as he
sheds those
pounds.
Also, check out the virtual mall. It's awesome. We even have 2
storefronts in there. If you have any questions regarding the
contest and/or renting space in the mall, please feel free to

about anybody's budget. We will be filmed by Fox4 on the 11th.
We will be thanking sponsors at this filming and banners will
also be made. On May 4th, we will have our final weigh-in at
Centennial Park. There also will be a challenge between the 2

April 5, 2008 (First Saturday Of Each Month Through April
2008)
Make
sure to visit Gina at our booth at the Cape Coral French
Street Market the first Saturday of each month.
Just like the
markets that are so popular in Europe, Cape Coral is launching a series of
street markets all their own. Approximately 50 vendors will take to the streets
of Downtown Cape Coral with booths and tables offering a wide array of items.
Antiques galore, original art, valuable collectibles and much more will be on
display and on sale. There are also several food vendors on hand as well. The
Downtown Street Market will take place on Vincennes Boulevard between SE 47th
Terrace and SE 47th Street. View
pictures of this great Cape Coral event. Even more
pictures.
January 12, 2008 (Appraisal Day)

For the well-attended 1st annual Antique Appraisal Day at More
Taste Than Money,
Peter Curran,
renowned certified appraiser of PBS's
"Antiques
Roadshow,"
was on hand to evaluate two items per customer for a $20
donation.
Many visitors, aware that all the proceeds were donated to The
Animal Refuge Center, gave extra money for the cause.
Thirty-eight appraisals were made in this 4 hour event, which
earned 800 dollars for ARC's dogs and cats. Three of the four
ARC kittens who came along for the ride, were also lucky
winners, as they now have adoptions pending.
A few people who brought items for appraisal were ecstatic about
the outcome. One man was told that the Japanese plate that his
father had brought to him from a trip from the Orient in the
50's was valued at $3,000. He could hardly wait to phone his
brother, who had two more in his home, filled with candy!
Another lady with an oriental painting made of slivers of wood,
that she bought at a garage sale for $8, went home happy when
she learned that her find was worth $600. A man and wife whose
aged painting was appraised at $10,000 - $15,000 were perhaps
the biggest winners of the day.
On the scene was our cat, lovely, laid back Savannah, a probable
Siamese and Rag Doll mix whom we had rescued in September, when
it was abandoned on a neighbor's porch. Gina served appetizers
and smiles to customers, who found much in the shop to tempt
their pocketbooks.
We like to support the community with a store event almost every
month. In December we helped the Fort Myers Rescue Mission, and
in March we'll be doing Easter baskets for T.L.C. And next
year, we hope to have another appraisal day for ARC.
The Animal Refuge Center responded with a heartfelt thanks for
the boost that we gave to the cause of neglected and abandoned
animals. For further information about ARC, visit
